FRIENDS OF HESSELTINE PUBLIC LIBRARY

The purpose of the Friends of Hesseltine Public Library is to benefit the Hesseltine Public LIbrary and the library community through educational and charitable means.

The organization meets the last Wednesday of January, April, July, and September in the afternoon, 3:30, at the library.

The Friends sponsor a used book sale and a quilt raffle during Wild Goose Bill Days  as fund raisers for the library.

The Friends sponsor the summer reading program for grade school children.  They provide wrapped book gifts for children whose families receive Christmas boxes from the emergency fund.  They also pay for prizes for any contests held in the library.

The Friends of the Library Officers are President - Terri Bohnet, Vice-President Helen Metcalf, Secretary-Treasurer - Shirley Goodlake, and board members Connie Smolden - liason to Chamber of Commerce, Rebecca Harris, and Margie Watson.

Dues are $1 per year and are payable at the April meeting.  All meetings are open to the public.
