E-Readers

Hesseltine Public Library has received two e-readers, a Nook and a Kindle, for public use from a grant administered by the Washington State Library, part of the Office of the Secretary of State, using funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

In order to check these out, patrons must be 21 years or older with a current library card in good standing with full borrowing privileges.  E-readers may be checked out for two weeks and may be renewed if there is no waiting list.

They are loaded with books chosen by librarians from Lincoln County and Ritzville.  The books are changed every three months.  Patrons cannot download other books onto the devices.

This would be a good chance to try an e-reader before purchasing one.  E-readers are very convenient when traveling or on vacation.  For more information, check the e-reader policy of this site.

Also, Hesseltine Library has joined the Washington State Anytime Library , and patrons can now borrow e-books or e-audiobooks from Overdrive.  There are books for all ages.  They can be downloaded to personal devices.  Click the top item on the left sidebar to go to Overdrive.  Check at the library for a new library card number and to be registered.
